Dilmun, sometimes described as “the place where the sun rises” and “the Land of the Living”, is the scene of some versions of the Sumerian creation myth. Dilmun is also described in the epic story of Enki and Ninhursag as the site at which the Creation occurred. It is also featured in the Epic of Gilgamesh, and has been speculated to be the true location of the Garden of Eden.

Nestled in the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf, Dilmun was the historical name for Bahrain, an archipelago of more than 33 islands, off the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia. Situated along the major Arabian and international trade routes between Asia and the West, the Kingdom has, for millennia, served as an important port and center of business. The capital city of Manama is a vibrant cosmopolitan center offering an open economy and an educated workforce enhanced by modern cultural amenities like museums, shopping, restaurants and fine hotels

On this small island of Manama, in the year 1993, originated a company - HAWAR CENTER; which grew to be a leading media production company and world re-known Arabic films distributor and In-flight Entertainment Programmes service provider. Hawar Center was the brain child of an enterprising and ambitious Bahraini national, named Mr. Ahmed Kooheji. His biggest ambition was to establish the largest production studios in Bahrain. What started with one camera, one room office and one man show has grown to be a purpose built, fully equipped 35,000 sq. ft. facility over the 16 years!

Having worked for Gulf Air for over 20 years in the in-flight services department, he also decided to utilize his vast and rich experience of airlines by venturing into IFE services. “Instead of working from inside, for the airline, now I work from outside, for the airline,” says Ahmed.
As I had been an airline customer myself, I could easily understand the requirements of the airline and the importance of dispensing good quality service.
